Hi, Im trying to find the birth of a Martha Diggings born approx 1823. She married a william Hill in 1844. Her Father was called Edward, unsure of her mother. She was born in St albans as far as i know. Thanks for your time. Mark |

Mark I found this on Ancestry 1851 census. Edward Diggins age abt60 A carpenter (journeyman) Born BERKS. William Hill age 30 born St Albans Martha Hill age 32 born Caddington Sarah Hill age 6 st.albans Eliza Hill age 3 st.albans George Hill age 12 St albans. Marriage ref 1844 Q2 St.Albans 6-609 Theres also the death ref for Edward Diggins. Edward Diggins Year of Registration: 1860 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep DISTRICT: St Albans County: Hertfordshire Volume: 3a Page: 170 Here they are in 1841 Name: Edward Diggins Age: about 55 Estimated birth year: abt 1786 Gender: Male Where born: Hertfordshire, England Civil parish: St Peter Hundred: St Albans Borough County/Island: Hertfordshire Country: England Street address: Occupation: View image Registration district: St Albans Sub-registration district: St Albans Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Edward Diggins about 55 John Diggins 15 Martha Diggins 15 The 1841 census night was 6th June 1841.
