Maureen a tip for searching for children on the IGI when you know their parents names, just enter the mother & father in the right hand boxes & no other info (sometimes you can only search with a first name for the mother), for your family I just entered their parents names & up they popped. Hi You have all made me feel very silly!! Thank you so much to everyone.!! Think my life is going through 'one of those phases' at the moment. Got up this morning and the microwave wont work. The printer keeps telling me it hasnt any paper in it, when i can see quite clearly that it has. And now Familysearch wont let me search - keeps saying something about a proxy server!! So thanks GEORGINA. i will take your word for it that you found them all on IGI - i think someone needs to teach me how to use that thing. Everyone i speak to seems to think its helpful - me, i can never find anyone on it SYLVIA Yes, i have heard that before. Something to do with the GRO only allowing a certain amount on there i think i read. That in itself is enough to make you doubt your brain at times. RICHARD It is possible that i got the info from parishregister - you have just reminded me that i used to use that site. All this info was put on my tree approx 5 years ago and over that time i have used various sites and then not bothered with them again. But i do know that was a good site and i still get newsletters from them. Having forked out for Ancestry and findmypast i decided i ought to behave myself and stick to those 2 - maybe not!! As regards to them being called TUTSON - i did try Tarlton born in Ireland and William T*** but got told there were too many. But i knew i would find a genius out there somewhere!! Thanks!! As regards to the 'problem birth' of John Charles, its me that has the problem!! When i looked again, i had put the wrong year down for Mary's birth - it was 1819, so it all fits in nicely now. Although what happened to him is anybodys guess. I had managed to find William Digby the son, with brother Robert living with the family. Dont know if you noticed but the 1851 census - not only is Elizabeth living in the house but so is her daughters Mary Ann (Broughton) Ann Ruth (Bean) I have got Thomas Weldon's death cert for 1847. He died from a visitation from God!! Once again, may thanks to you all. All i have got to do now is sort out the printer and i can copy these census. Maureen

Found them in 1841! (mistranscribed as Tutson!). Father Thomas is a Tailor, as are sons Richard & William. Father born Ireland, Elizabeth & all the children born Middlesex: Name: Thomas Tutson Age: 46 Estimated birth year: abt 1795 Gender: Male Where born: Ireland Civil parish: St George in The East Hundred: Ossulstone (Tower Division) County/Island: Middlesex Registration district: St George in the East Sub-registration district: St Paul Thomas Tutson 46 Elizabeth Tutson 43 Mary Tutson 22 Elizabeth Tutson 20 Richard Tutson 18 William Tutson 16 Ann Tutson 15 Amelia Tutson 13 Thomas Tutson 11 Robert Tutson 7 HO107; Piece 697; Book: 6; Folio: 13; Page: 18 Incidentally, John Charles is missing from the household - and as he is the one with the ''problem'' date of birth (too close to Mary Ann) then I suspect that he is not part of this family. You'll need to look at the parish register (see previous post) in order to confirm his parent's names. Cheers! Richard

Maureen I think that you must have got the info from www.parishregister(.)com . I searched on there and got the following hits for St George in the East, 1815-1826: Ann Ruth Tarlton, Elizabeth Sarah Tarlton, John Charles Tarlton, Mary Ann Janet Tarlton, Richard Thomas Tarlton, William Digby Tarlton ... and for the same church, 1826-1835: Amelia Tarleton It's a pay-per-view site, so you'll have to pay again in order to get the full details (£2.95 per set of search results to see the full transcriptions). Even if this is not the site that you used previously, at least it will be a way of checking your existing info. Or you could get the parish register on film at an LDS centre or at the LMA in London. No sign of Thomas or Robert - but you don't seem to have actual dates for those two, so maybe they came off of a census? By the way, a lot of the London registers from this time period do give date of birth as well as baptism date, so you'll probably get the actual dob's. Cheers Richard

I hope I'm not dreaming this! ................... but I seem to remember somebody saying on here some time ago that it was not unknown for records to be 'removed' from the Mormon site .............. so you could find something once and then be unable to find it again on a subsequent visit. I couldn't understand then, and can't understand now, just WHY information would be removed!!!

Maureen ...... you wouldn't have found some of this information on Rootsweb would you?

Are the children shown with those baptism dates on IGI ? It is not so common to know actual birth dates for that time. Gwyn

Hi I ask the above question because i seem to have lost mine!! Decided to copy out and send my tree on Family Group Record Forms to a rellie i have recently been in contact with who is not on computer. Went to my tree on GR and copied the first family, it is obvious straight away that i have made a mistake. 2 Children born within a month of each other!! Try , and search as i might i cannot for the life of me find where i got this info from in the first place (Yes, i know it sounds stupid) This is what i have got Thomas Weldon Tarlton c1795 born Ireland Elizabeth Stevenson c 1798 married 18.5.1817 (thats from Familysearch and still on there) John Charles 14.8.1818 Mary Ann 18.7.1818 Elizabeth Ann 15.2.1821 Richard Thomas 20.10.1822 William Digy 12.4.1824 Ann Ruth 21.6.1825 Amelia Sarah 20.8.1827 Thomas Weldon c 1830 Robert Deverall Francis c 1833 I cannot find the parents on any census and the only children i can find are Thomas living with his married brother William Digby and wife Ann on 1851 census. I have tried entering the surname and born Ireland in Ancestry, it comes up with 4 but not Thomas 1795. What is really puzzling me is, where did i get these dates of birth from - i didnt dream them all up!! All i can think of is that a census could have been mis-transcribed, but even then it wouldnt give the actual dates of birth. I know sometimes there are people out there who seem to have the knack of being able to sort things out like this - and i am praying that someone can please help me - its driving me nuts!! Maureen
