Mike and Kathleen, Now I'm really confused, Mike's find seems right with the occupation and the area sounds more likely but the fathers name is clearly Joseph Geo. Hicks and then the son Albert got married in 1905 at the age of 21 which doesn't really fit in. I also haven't had any feedback reagarding any cripple. Any ideas where I go from here please? Linda

Just received a long awaited marriage cert. to help me along the way but can't find anything on the census's. Here's what I have: Albert Edward Hicks (1884) father Joseph George Hicks. Marriage cert. has Albert living at 26 Sore Street in 1905. They both have the same occupation as Gold & Silver Mounters. Not sure where either were born but the marriage took place in Shoreditch. All help appreciated. Thanks Linda
