You need to search for the marriage of Henry Lee.....that seems to be the only certainty in the sequence you list above. You will then find out the situation with regard to Elizabeth, and can work backwards from there. All bmd's are free on Ancestry.........good luck Reg

I am looking for the marriage between Elizabeth Saunders and Fred Senior. They both lived in Dartford Kent and Elizabeth was born in 1880 (her parents were Herbert & Mary Saunders). Elizabeth & Fred had two children Marian and Freddy. I cannot trace any of the above. Up to recently I believed Elizabeth to be a single Mum to a child named Olive she then/had moved to Essex and married eventually a chap named Henry Lee having several more children. What I am trying to find out is are they one and the same person? Did she do all of the above? If so she married Lee in her maiden name. And Olive was a Saunders. Grateful for any help or ideas Thanks Chris

Hi Reg I know from a rellie on the Lee side that Elizabeth married Henry Lee in 1916 in her maiden name. But another rellie on the Saunders side says she definately had this family in Dartford with Fred. I wondered if there was two Elizabeths but I have been assured that the marriage cert shows herbert as her father. Thanks Chris

Note the age difference - he 35, she 21.

1901 Henry Lee was a Clerk at a warehouse and Elizabeth Saunders was a machinist. He was the son of the household (mother widow) . Elizabeth was a boarder

Elizabeth That is really interesting because there was a sister called Annie who story says disappeared on Dartford Heath aged 14. Maybe it was Annie who married Fred and not Elizabeth. And then maybe Elizabeth was the one that disappeared and moved to Essex as apparently she lodged with the family a while before she married. Thanks Chris

Yes - I've double checked the original register - Henry W. Lee married a women with the surname Saunders in West Ham 1st qr 1916. Hope this has helped.
