I want to get a Marriage Certificate of my GG Grandparents but I am a bit confused as to what details I list, on the BMD site they have listed them as being married December 1859-Shoreditch but on the Family Search Records they have listed 23rd Oct.1859-Shoreditch ? Sylvia

The BMD sites usually use quarters, so anyone marrying in OCT-NOV-DEC would be listed under Dec quarter. I would say that you have the right ones. Sam x

Thank you Sam, would the details from the BMD site be the best one to take the details from for the Marriage certificate or is it best that I list the Full Date from the Family Search ? Sylvia

If you are ordering from the GRO, they only need the quarter, district, volume and page number. They will take no notice of any exact date that you provide unless you specify it as a checking point. Was the record from the Family Search site a member submission or an extracted record? If a member submission, I wouldn't bother asking them to check the date as it may not be correct. You could always name one person and ask them to check the spouses name instead. Sam x
