Hi, I'm about 20 miles from Lewes, its a really lovely old town, and I'll see if I can find anything for you. There is Lewes Castle and museum, Barbican House, 169, High St, Lewes, phone 01273 486290/405730, and the library is in Albion St, 01273 474232. Their beer is VERY popular around here, and I think a friend had a book about the brewerys history, I'll try and find it for you. Regards, Hilary

Do you mean Harveys Brewery in Lewes, East Sussex? Do you live locally? Its a lovely old place, I can remember visiting it in the seventies when at Catering College. There must be so much history attached, I believe they are still brewing there. Have you tried Lewes library or local history society? Regards, H

Im after some history into Harveys Brewery. My grandmothers cousin has told me that I have distant relatives who are connected to this Brewery. I have gone back to Thomas Harvey in 1820 but Im not finding a connection. I have looked at their website but its not very helpful! Any ideas anyone? Colette
