Can I transfer data from tribalpages to family tre

It is very quick, you just have to press the export gedcom on tribal pages save it to your desk top and then open the file with family tree maker. Photos won't transfer though. |

Thanks for that, Sam. I do only have the freebie Tribal Pages account but it would be worth shelling out for the next stage up if only to save the time it would involve in transcribing everything! Is it a fairly easy procedure - I presume basic instructions will be included in the family tree programme but don't want to get as far as buying it and then finding I'm stumped! Thanks for your help Amanda |

You can only do it if you are using the 'paid for' version of Tribal Pages. The free version doesn't have the facility to export your tree. Sam x |

Can anyone help please? I have all my tree on Tribalpages but want to use a programme on my pc as well. I'm considering Family Tree Maker 2006, but need to know if it's possible to do an upload/download so that I don't have to input all the data again? And if it is possible, can someone more computer literatate please help me through it? Any help would be gratefully received! |
