Its better to buy from the local Register Office(Where the Briths marriages or deaths were registered). They tend to be a lot quicker than the GRO. Also if you have given them enougth detail eg brides father name and the certificate turns out not to be the one you wanted they will probably phone you to discuss whether you still want the cert or not. They will also send the cheque back to you if you don't want the cert. The GRO will deduct a fee for this. Jane |
