Where abouts do you live? My boyfriends parents have got a framing shop in Bristol and they would give you advice over the phone if you live elsewhere in the country. My boyfriend works for them as well. If you want help ring 0117 9422213. They will help |

If you have a flatbed scanner, you should be able to scan all the pictures. Even if the photo gets damaged, you will still have a copy of the image. Also a good image editing programme would be able to `repair` the damaged one. |

I'd think Yellow Pages would be the best place to look. Reg |

I've just had a disaster with a photograph and don't want to repeat my mistake. I have a family album of old photos, some dating from the late 1800's. I need to have some copied and therefore tried to remove them from the pages. Some have come off with difficulty but without damage. However I have just seriously damaged a photo of my great grandmother and feel absolutely sick. She died at 26 so there are only 2 photos in existence that we know of. The glue used is like nothing I've ever come across and they won't budge. Can anyone give me advice on what to do. They all need to come off and be remounted (the album is falling to bits) but I don't know how to go about it. Those that have come off are coated with the backing of the paper they were stuck to. Help!!!! Chris |
