I am planning to order my gggg grandfather Thomas Waters' death certificate from GRO online. I found his registration from FreeBMD. Deaths Sep 1841 WATERS Thomas * 1 291 So I looked up an image for district that was Westr. Which one Westr or Westminster should I put it for district? Thanks, Steven from Australia.

I see what you mean. Westminster seems likely. Where did he live? Was it in that area?

Clicking on Westr in FreeBMD gives the following: ''The district Westr is an alternative name for Westminster St Margaret and it is in the county of Middlesex'' Rose

Thank you Peter and Rose for your advices. I will put 'Westr' in district to order it in GRO online soon. I hope they will accept it. Peter, yes he lived in Westminster with his wife, Hester and two sons William and Richard, according to 1841 census. Regards, Steven.
