If you don't renew membership, do you still receive messages sent from members? I have sent 2 messages to a person who has the same ancestors as me, hoping to share information, but they have not replied, so do you think they haven't renewed or just don't want contact.. June |

I don't think you can send or reply to messages if you have not renewed membership. Why don't you try sending them another message and include your email address? I have a couple of people that have not replied even though I am certain they are fairly close relations, some people just don't bother checking their messages that often or maybe don't get email notification. dizzy |

Thanks for replying dizzy, i'll send an email as you suggest. I wouldn't bother again, but the surname is Smith, so she could hopefully cut down on my research. |

I think some people treat this hobby a lot more casually than others - they may not check their messages for months at a time. |
