Tribal Pages usernames

I haven't been on Tribal Pages for ages and when I just tried to log in I couldn't remember what my username is so tried my family name and got into someone elses tree! I could easily have got all sorts of information and even altered it if I'd been that way inclined. So, of course I came out of that and tried another possible username and got into yet another tree! The Moral of this story is use very obscure usernames and passwords replacing letters with numbers etc. Please be aware! Sue

Many of the trees are accessible without passwords, but you cannot edit them. Ken

Hi again I think I may have over reacted! I was so amazed at getting into these trees I just assumed I could edit them - it said 'click here to edit' but I didn't try - I felt really guilty just being there! However have just been back (naughty naughty!) and tried to edit but couldn't because, as you said, another password needed! In fact both trees were empty ..... So now I'm feeling particularly stupid! But the advice about usernames and passwords still stands! Sorry to have worried you all, Sue
