Clive, It's on FreeBMD. Ancestry uses the FreeBMD info. but they're usually a few months behind before they update. Rose

So what went wrong with Ancestry? The same data in there gave no answer at all. I thought Ancestry was supposed to be freebmd plus but it seems not. The other side of the family really went mad in the Victorian era. Every son named his eldest son George - and most of the other names were shared too, nearly all were in the building trade living within a few miles of each other!

Where did you look? That one is from freebmd - always check there first and then go to ancestry's complete index OR in desperation use familyrelatives.org (pay to view).

Edith Buckle (b 1895, Middlesbrough) is said to have married Cecial Rhodes. The family followed the 13th Commandment (see thread - all about using weird names to throw genealogists if you can stop laughing) so I have no real idea whether husband was really called Cecil Rhodes. There is a suggestion they went to Canada for a period but returned to Yorkshire.
