The death reference should be in the overseas section of deaths on www.findmypast(.)com It is pay per view, but I'm sorry I don't have any credits for the site. As already said, I don't think you will get much more from the death certificate than you got from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site. Kath. x

Take a look in the old copies of newspapers that were sold in the area where his family lived. In some cases this will give a detailed account of how he died along with a photograph. In some cases you will have a long search. One person in my family was killed in september 1916 and his death was not reprted in the local newspaper until april of the following year. The report said exactly how he died. The death certificates are usually a waste of time and money. regards Andrew Edge

would a death cert been done i have a picture of the ypres memorial and the date my ggrandad died and it is said his name is on panel 8 many thanks bacardi xx
