Many thanks for that. I have just been having a discussion with my husband about it and he was suggesting all sorts of ways around it, but I kept trying to explain that it would appear that GR doesn't recognise that cousins married and the only way is to put the name in twice, with a reference in the notes. I have been thinking about uploading my tree as I have downloaded the PAF software from the LDS site, but it all seems a little bit daunting at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to reply - I do appreciate it. Nicky

No, there is no easy way to do it on GR - they have never heard of cousins marrying, and haven't allowed for it. If you have a family tree programme on your computer, you can upload a gedcom which will reflect the real situation. In fact, come to think of it, the GR tree is the only one I have ever seen which DOESN'T allow for cousin marriages, or two brothers marrying two sisters, etc. OC

Can anyone help me please with a query on entering names on GR family tree? I am doing really well entering all my data, but as I go further back, I have come across a name that I have entered twice and realised that although they are the same individual, I have them entered once as a sibling and then again as a father (the situation has arisen because first cousins have married). Is there any way around this or can I link the names in some way? I hope this isn't garbled, because I'm beginning to confuse myself! Many thanks. Nicky
