That's the family Ozzie bird and the death is probably why I couldn't find him on any other census must have died young, thanks for that Julie. William called his son Walter too and he died aged 2 in 1902 very sad |

Hi Marilyn thanks for that but it's the wrong one !! Walter was born to Thomas and Alice Eckersley, according to the IGI he was christened at Manchester cathedral 3rd September 1843 his brother William (my ggrandad) was also christened there in 1846, however Walter doesn't seem to be on any following census with the family and the only death I can find is in 1877. Thanks for looking, sorry we had visitors just after I posted. Chris. |
