I have just used a much used parish record disc that I have. When you open it, there are 3 folders, one for Baptisms, one for Marriages, and one for Burials. Today, I can't open the marriages folder on my pc, it says the folder is empty!!!!! Quelle horreur! But when I tried it on the laptop, it's ok. Back to the pc, empty. Can anyone tell my why this may be, and how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance. Debs |

The easy way out of this probably is to copy on your laptop to a flash memory and then from the flash memory to your PC. It might be a question of alignment of the reading head. You might even read direct from the flash memory! Flash memory will plug into a USB port normally. Or perhaps you have a system for plugging a camera card into your lap top via some other port? |

Hi Margaret, Thanks for your reply. Have a couple of PM's, apparently I may have deleted my pc file? Goodness knows how I've done this. Susan & Clive, Thank you for your PM's. Have replied the same way. Many thanks Debbie |
