Sorry I'm being a bit of a numpty today. GGG Grandparents married in Scotland 22/10/1848. When Scotland records were free earlier this year I found the extract relating to thier marriage. Neither parents were on said extract is there any other way of finding parents in Scotland? T.O.R. ;o)) |

Would ordering the actual marriage certificate (assuming they exist for 1848) give me more information? If so where can I order it from ? (Knew I should have stayed out of Scotland) T.O.R. ;o)) |

Just to let you know if you want the parents names for the people who married and if they died in Scotland 1855 to 1956 put wife's married name and maiden name and parents names will be on death certificates same with husband's name Marriages before 1855 only give people getting married and date £6 for 30 credits but if certificate there you can save to your computer |

Hi TOR What about the 1851 census - where are they on that? Don't waste your money ordering a cert - what you'll get is same as on the OPR you downloaded. What area are we looking at here? Oh no - not a Macdonald, is it!!! Send me the details or, better still, put a thread on sft and we'll see what we can do. |
