There was no legal adoption before 1927, so your only hope is to get the child's birth certificate - which may only tell you the mother's name. Sorry, I cannot help with Russian research - but I am sure someone else will! OC

hi, just wondering of anyone can give me and tips on how and where to search for infomation on family members who were born in russia and switzland, and i've current gotten to a point where i've found out that my great great grandad's parents adopted a child in 1900 the 1901 cenus says the child real surname but how do i go about getitng more infomation about this child and his family?
