Google only seems to bring up the modern Middlesbrough Hospital and not its history. Does anybody know whether it treated WW I victims? Does anybody know when the 1918 flu epidemic reached Middlesbrough? 'Reached Glasgow in May 1918 and spread rapidly to the rest of the country' is all I know. Does anybody know where to obtain some patience? I am dying to know if my aunt was an early victim of the flu and it is going to take ages before the death certificate arrives! Clive |
