You could try for an electoral roll look up and see if anyone else lived in that house at the time?

Hi Cheryl Don't really know what to suggest, but presume the death was quite a while ago if he fought in WW1. Do you live in/near Derby? Is it likely anyone in the area may remember him? Angela

Hi My grandfathers brother was a man of the Road (Tramp), he suffered shell shock after WW1 and never really recovered. I have been trying to find his death for years as no one in family knew what had happened to him, as he was last seen by the family in 1947. After a couple of wrong certificates, I have received Certificate No 3 this morning. I think it could be his but I'm not sure. The certifcate says: His name was Enoch Spencer he was 70 years when he died. He was living at 5 Brook Street Derby. The informant of his death was his next door neighbour. His occupation was a general labourer. His name, age and occupation are correct as far as I can see.He was never married. But how can I be sure it was him? Anybody any suggestions.?Don't quite know what do next. Cheryl
