Please can anyone tell me whether Ancestry BMD has gaps. I am trying to find a Cumming with a possible birth date in 1930 but the BMD records appears not have a June quarter. Is this the case and / or is there a way around the gap? Clive |

What you have to do is click on 1930 and then all 4 quarters will come up. I dont know why .............. |

Go down pass the search box and you will have every year listed, click on 1930 and all 4 quarters will come up. Ive just done it and they do. Click on the quarter, click on the initial for your name - Cumming - all the C images will come up, Ive just looked at Cumming is on image 87 so just enter that in the image box at the top and click. |

And it all worked - never knew there was anything below the small print. Well now I know there was not a Cumming birth in 1930 for the family of my interest. Thanks to all who helped. Clive |

Sometimes I find that the transcribers have included a name added at the end of a page as part of the surname range - which then screws up what you are searching for as it doesn't bring up the relevant pages. So if you notice that any quarters are missing, its always best to lessen the amount of letters used in the surname - for example from Cummings down to just Cum and then you can just go to the next pages to find the one you are after. |
