Missing 1901 census entry on Ancestry!

Sadie Add your grandmother's name to this thread - add where you found her in 1901 and see if anyone can spot her in Ancestry - she is probably badly transcribed. You then need to let Ancestry know her real name - there's a place on the right hand side when you look at a record that lets you send them corrections. She'll then show up correctly in the future. I have just checked on here and found my grandmother in the 1901 census has transcribed but ancestry she is missing... Also my great-grandfather is also missing on ancestry births e.c.t but i can find him on the free births marriages so frustrating when i have payed a subscription...

Sandie Are you sure they've not been mistranscribed I've done look-ups for people on Ancestry and couldn't find them, and some-one find my pass might, then i go back to Ancestry and yes something was mistranscribed

Hello her name was Ruby Hewett and the parrish was Deptford London it gives her birth year on here has 1884 If any one can spot her on Ancestry i will be grateful many thanks

Sandie Ancestry partial BMDs are trnsferred from FreeBMD but are not updated as regularly. Always try FreeBMD first (for up to 1911) and check back regularly if you don't find what you are looking for - not all indexes have been transcribed yet. Pam
