Just my humble opinion: Unless there's something on there that Ancestry doesn't have, I would say that you were better off with Ancestry. I used to use the pay-per-view (before they had subs) on FindMyPast and I found it quite annoying. I'm not sure if they've changed the way it works but the search facility was not the best. I don't think they have a proper searchable index so you can spend ages trawling through original images (that's what I found in the past). Looking at what you get for the subs, fees for the same price on there, you can get more on ancestry. I would compare them carefully and consider what you would use them for. |
