Please I need help, if anyone is going to the York Reference Library, I think I have made a major break, I'm searching for details of our relative Richard Clough, The number for his trial is 4682, at the York Assizes on the 20 March 1830. I'm after any information on this person as when he was 1st sentenced he was given the death penalty, but it was later over turned, and he was transported to Australia. He left behind a wife and 4 children, so I'm led to believe , but none of his papers ever had mention of their names. He was never allowed to return home,so he made a new life here in Australia. Would love to make contact with family down the line, but as I said before he was given the death penalty and his family over in England may be unaware that we are here. I have put 15 years of research into Richard's family here in Australia, would just love to get a break over there. Thanks
