FTM is a programme you can buy 'Family Tree Maker' a lot of people on here use it, rather than storing all their info on the genes tree TNA is the national archives website, if you google TNA it should come up and have a nosey round it Linda p.s anything else you don't understand just ask, most people here are very friendly and will help :)

If you are already an Ancestry member, just log into Ancestry first and save your log-in settings so you don't have to keep having to enter your user name & password. Now you will be able to go straight to Ancestry from FTM. Highlight the record you want to view, ignore the message in FTM's bottom left window saying you have to sign up and just click on View Online Provided you have saved your log-in settings, next time you don't need to log in again, you should be able to go straight from FTM.

Linda, email them - you have probably somehow got two names/passwords on the go - you need to merge them - I had this happen last year, sorted by the next day after Id mailed.

Linda In FTM click on help. Click on 'Register Family Tree Maker' Go through the registration pages and make sure the password you enter is the one you use on Ancestry. Hope that works. Chris

I googled genealogy dot com and it seems to a site that redirects you to others according to what you are looking for. I would phone Ancestry and ask them what its all about. Shirley

I am puzzled by that as I have FTM 2006. I did register the Ancestry again and then rang them to say i have already got a subs. they suspended my free portion until my subs need renewing. Am supposing that the FTM does need you to have registered all of it to operate it . Shirley
