Uploading to FTM

Once you have it in your FTM program, go through adding lots of bits you couldnt do on GR. Photos etc. do the error check that you can do on FTM. Upload it all to your own website - click on the Internet option then create homepage AND do back it all up to a cd - you can also purchase internet storage for about a fiver a year, you wont need to do it straight away as they give it as a freebie for a few months.

Firstly you need to export your tree from Genes. Click on the Import/Export link on the left and then choose Export. Your tree will be sent to you as an email attachment. Save the attachment on your PC, somewhere you will be able to find it again. Open FTM, go to file...open and browse to the file you have just saved. On the drop down box at the bottom, where it says 'Files of Type', change it to GEDCOM (*.GED) and it should open your tree in FTM. Sam x

Please can someone tell me how to upload the tree I have on Genes into FTM without inputting all the info. from scratch.
