Laura, When my sister moved, she left all the family photos in the loft. No one realised what she had done until it was to late. Unfortunately it was a council house, so they cleared everything out.

Oh that;s wonderful! He must have been so pleased and surprised.... well done you, you can be proud of doing such a good deed. I would imagine most GR members dream of someone like you to bring these treasures to them! Laura

Linda, I'm the same. I don't have any photos of my dad when he was young. I would also love to see a photo of my grt gran Louisa, who used to wear a boys mac, beret, scarf and only had one tooth in her mouth at the front. She called it her pickled onion tooth.

What a lovely thing to do. I would love more photos of my family on my Dad's side. I haven't got any. Linda

I returned a suitcase full of old photographs and letters some dating back to the 1920's, also a book of common prayer dating back to 1791, today. I found them in the garage of our old house some years ago. The chap they had belonged to had died and no one knew where his family were from. When we moved, we put them in the loft. We had a good clearout the other day, found the photos and with the help of the internet, managed to trace a close family member. He was over the moon, some of the photos were of himself which he had never seen. Also letters his father had sent to his grandmother when a boy. I don't have many photos of my family, so it would be nice tho think, that one day, the same might happen to me. Live in hope!
