The search facility to search for a thread doesn't seem to be working at the minute. Never mind I'll check back again later as I've gotta go now. Marie x

I've got my tree on ftm 05 but I must admit I haven't used it that much and it does need updating. My main tree is on here which I know is not a good idea !!

Have you got a good family tree program on your computer? That would be a must for me, before you lose all those odd bits of paper. To find a thread on anything, just enter a key word in the search box at the top of the board.

I think there were a few suggestions on here recently but I don't seem to be able to find the thread, apologies. Can anyone suggest a good way of organising your files, census returns etc. I seem to have files bulging with census returns but with so many different surnames I am getting in such a mess. Also, how do you stick to one branch of your tree ?! I seem to jump from one to the other doing little bits and then wonder how I end up getting confused lol ! Cheers Marie x
