hi, i have been looking for a marriage for my cousin for some time now with no luck. i have searched ancestry full list. no luck. so i went down the route of looking for his childrens births - which i found. however where it says MMN it has my cousins surname not his wifes maiden name. any ideas where i go from here? would contact cousin but he moved in 2005 and i dont know where to.

If you've found the children's births in the index, I think you'll just have to apply for a certificate and see what turns up. How common is the surname? Is it possible he married someone of the same surname?

Are you sure that your cousin is married? If a child is born to unmarried parents, the birth is listed twice, under both surnames. Janice

Did John marry a Suzanne, June or a Lynne? These are the spouses names of people marrying a John in the right time frame. Even today, I think couples still tend to marry in the bride's area...which may be outside Cambridgeshire. Gwyn
