free bmd are the transcribed records and not much use after 1911ish you need to look at the Complete BMD Index ranges & Images 1837-1983 This collection works on name ranges and locates the relevant index page. You can then easily scroll around the page to find the person you are searching for this is the actual index and need to be searched quarter by quarter Roy |

Hi all How do I find out information on a granduncle of mine I know he was born in Romford in 1912. I have spoken to my mum who's uncle it was and she never knew he existed I have checked on free bmd to see if he had died young but there was no record of any deaths Melvyn |
