I have been trying to trace a marriage of a cousin, on the Ancestry site, with no success. I now think that the marriage may have taken place in Scotland is this the reason I cannot trace? Does Scotland have it's own BMD listing

Hi, If google Scotlands people you will get the website you need - you don't even have to send away for an image - just register online and follow the instructions. All the best, Hugh

Scotlands People only cover marriages up to 1931, if the marriage you are looking for was after that date you need to contact the GRO in Scotland. Georgina.
