Thanks I am really struggling with this one ( the Irish connection not helping any). I am not convinced this is the John I am looking for, as his son James' death cert mentions his mothers name as Mary (MS unknown). I also can't seem to find James anywhere the 1841 census or his wife Elizabeth even though i know they were here then! Any ideas? Thanks |

James Osborne b. 1818 Garvaghy, Co.Down m Elizabeth Close b 1819 Banbridge Co.Down. Having just rechecked my records its possible they actually moved to Scotland in 1841 and may just have missed the census. His father is where my research comes to a grinding halt - i hvae even been to N. Ireland to check local parish records, however they submitted their originals for safekeeping to the records office and they were destroyed by fire!! I am not 100% sure John was even born in Ireland or if he moved there as the only mention is on James' death cert from 1892. |
