Gerry, Thanks, but I know that the surnames were the same but must have been some sort of distant cousins that were taken into the family when the mother died and father scooted off! Although I suppose I could give them their mother's maiden name. Best wishes, Midlands |

i suggest, if you know it, using their birth names as this will indicate they are not blood relations to the parents. Gerry :-)) |

Is there any way of indicating on the chart of the tree where children have been adopted into the family, apart from filling in the info boxes? Couldn't we have dotted lines or something? |
