Hi, Thanks for that. I have got the marriage cert, With the fathers name that i was hoping for. I just wanted to double check about the mothers name It would appear that from the information you have found for me, it is correct. Thank you once again. Mark

Hi Mark Do you have his marriage certificate, this will give you his father's name and occupation which may be a start. This could be a possible marriage. On the 1851 census they have a 4 year old so this marriage may be a little early. Q4 1844 William Norris, Watford, 6 1067 - there is a Mary Betts with the same volume and page number......... Channel Island BMD arn't online. You have to write to an address you will find on the Jersey website. I don't know about Jersey, but the Priaulx Library in Guernsey were very helpful. Sandy

Can anyone tell me any good web sites to find a birth in Jersey in 1820. Im trying to find the birth record, so i can find the parents. Im looking for a William Norris. Thanks. My William eventually ended up in Watford, herts. Thanks for any help. Mark
