No there isnt i,m afraid. i too wanted to open my tree to a contact but had what could have been sensitive notes on some of them so i deleted the notes before i opened the tree and only kept my notes now on my FTM tree, The best way would be to extract the info and send that in the email

Is it possible to let someone view part of my tree. I don't open my tree to anyone, but if I wanted for someone to see some parts of it, would that be possible? I also write myself little notes about family members in the notes box, is there a way of keeping this private? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Trudi

I recommend keeping your tree on your own computer. The programme from the latter day saints is free and quite usable... You can down load from GR to your computer and input your tree. You can then export a GEDCOM file and choose not to include living people or private notes. Another alternative is to create a new tree and only import particular names and descendents. Th epoint is you have control. Clive

Thanks Shirley. I only kept a few names on my tree on genes, the rest I kept on my FTM with my notes. But I have moved more family over, and have started to add some notes too, just to make it easier for myself. More of my family are taking an interest, so I know that they will want to view my tree. I was hoping just to open parts of it and not let them see my notes. I don't want to be mean and cause a family row, I wish I just kept things as they were, lol. Many thanks again, may have to go to plan B, which is what you suggest. Kind regards Trudi
