certificates.....

hi, how do you keep track of what certificates you have got? i have started an a-z index card system so i can work out who is who and who they are married to etc. i just dont know how to do the certificates, i dont want to end up buying doubles.

Thats so organised of you - I wish I was like that - I downloaded a will the other day - wrong bloke and then I thought DOH, Ive downloaded this one before. I guess I go by my FTM program - if you have a cert you enter all the info on there so you know which you have.

I have 2 different coloured lever arch files....one for my lines and one for my husband's. Each file is subdivided into main line surnames and each cert is kept in an acid free plastic pocket. If it is a marriage cert I always file those in the man's name. It works for me. Linda
