RootsMagic and PAF 5 as above for FTM > highlight a name, go to Tools > relationship calculator > select second name > calculate. Clive |

Alternatively, in FTM, select the first person, go to Tools, Relationship Calculator, click the change button, then select the second person from your list of names and OK. Click on the calculate button and it will work out the relationship for you. |

Could anyone tell me where I can look to try and work out how people are related to one another in a Family Tree? many thanks |

Do you have family tree maker? If so, you can do it all on there in reports. First go into index of individuals, choose yourself, or whoever you wish, then go to reports and choose Kinship report and up with pop everyone in your tree and how the person you have selected is related to them. |
