How old was he when he married? If he was over 16yrs, there will not be a record of his birth. You may be lucky enough to find a baptism, but that in turn will only have his mother's first name.....at best. What was the name and occupation of his father? Where was John born? Reg

John was 24 when he married. I dont know where he was born, but his wife was from Rowley Regis. John was a labourer, as was his father William. Witnesses to the wedding were Thomas and Mary Moore

Thanks for helping, dear Reg.you've helped me before! cant find in 1851, but in 1861 lives at Cradley-age slightly inconsistent with wedding, in 1871 he is still at cradley, and is a horse driver.

Reg, think you have found my lot...Georgina, think you have found the lot I mistakenly followed..........Their parents were William Moore and Hannah Harper who married at St Thomas Dudley in 1818. William was a chainmaker (not common like me!) and I think they moved to Derbyshire......this was the only William Moore wedding I could find........so how do I find where my William married..............and who?
