Have you tried tracing the Dabinett family that are in Somerset in 1871 back through the census just in case they are connected. |

I have searched high and low for this chap – before and after his marriage, but draw a blank. Can any of you super slooths find him/them? Maybe they emigrated after their marriage? David Dabinett born abt 1837 – possibly Somerset. The son of John Dabinett. David married Hannah Edmonds in Taunton, Somerset on 15 August 1878. Hannah is the daughter of William Edmonds. David’s age is given as 41. Hannah’s 37. The marriage certificate gives his residence as Weston Super Mare, and Hannah’s as Upper High Street (Taunton?) Witnesses are Thomas Dabinett and Robert Dyer. David’s occupation when he marries is Railway Overseer – so its possible he travelled around a lot. |
