I was born in Ontario, with English and Irish ancestors in the 1800's. Almost all of my research has to be done via the internet. I'm a strong believer in google, as I've found so much that way. Have you tried googling the submitter's name and the surname you have in common? I've found a couple of people that way. Would you like to pm me - I can see if I can find anything out? I basically know the Toronto area, but I'd be happy to look around if you'd like? |

I wrote to someone who had submitted an ancestral file with my family in it, and was very fortunate to have a reply with all verified details, too! ... :-) |

lisa j I have done what you suggested never thought of that! anyway its a lengthy address, and all it came up with was an address for a book publishing place, the name of the submitter isnt mentioned, and also tried rootsweb no luck there either. Thanks Sharmala. |

Have you checked a directory to see if they are still living at the location? I believe if you google, enter 'Canada' and '411' you will get the directory site. (I'm using my son's computer today and I swore I would only use this site, or I would look up the site for you. Sorry.) PS Have you looked on Rootsweb to see if they posted any information there? Try Rootsweb, and Ancestry search, I believe. |

Hello Ive been amazed at the amount of submitted records after 1991 there has been regarding my maternal grandmothers family, some marriages and births as late as the 1920`s. Underneath these records it says ancestral file may hold the submitters identity, i recentley went on this to discover an address in Ontario Canada but the only family members that i know about went to live in Salt lake City sometime in the 1930`` i dont know whether to write to this person or not what do you think please? Thanks Sharmala. |
