I've found reference to Thomas G Watts on the war memorial in Harrold, Bedfordshire. Tyring to prove if he is part of the tree, but seem to have hit a wall....................see below

Thomas G Watts b1920, d1943 Father: Ernest James Watts b1882 Mother: Mary Ann Ekins Marriage: Q2 1908 Found Ernest James on 1901 he is working as a servant age 19 but I can't find him anywhere on the 1991 Can anyone help find him? Thanks Elly

Haven't looked for him on the census yet, but have you seen this entry on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site? :- Name: WATTS, THOMAS GEORGE Initials: T G Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment/Service: Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment Unit Text: 5th Bn. Hi Kathleen Yes I have. He died as a prisoner of war worked on the burma bridge.. 'Private, 5950170, 5th Bn., Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regt who died on Tuesday, 6th July 1943. Age 23. Prisoner of War, worked on the Burma Railway. Buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand. Grave 8. G. 2'

I don't think that is him because St Paul is in Bedford Town, and 1901 states born Harrold, and a bit young (I know you can't trust ages!) Elly

I think you have already dismissed this one but Ernest J Watts born 1885 living with Father/Mother and family in St Paul Bedford but his birthplace is only shown as Bedford. In addition his Grandmother was born in Colmworth and mother from Little Staughton which are North Bedfordshire as is Harrold. This from the image. Just another small point - in the 1901 his status is servant but he is working as a journeyman baker. Does this help? Keith

Keith Thanks for your help, but i've found him now - on the Ancestry Trees, but still not on 1891... And best of all - We are related to the Thomas George mentioned on the roll of honour.. Thanks Elly :)
