Thanks Heather! Don't they do auto renewal though if you just let the membership run out? I can't afford two lots of subs, lol! Do I still cancel the original one then, first! :0) Joan xxx

Joan, I pmd you on Family Tree Forum but if you are already subscribed ancestry will pick it up and not let you join at a newbie rate. I got round it last time by putting hubbies name and email in - lol. This time I rang them up demanding the same sub as 'all my members on a genealogy forum' and I got it reduced to £55 but they may be hardening a bit to that as so many have rung. If you arent desperate hang on til after yours runs out - they let it run on for a couple of weeks after your end date. Or try the change of email and name tactic.

Just tried the lost cousins website, and got through to Anscestry.com - entered my name and email address - clicked to continue, was told that I was already subscribed under my e-mail address! Stated that if I had forgotten my password to click where indicated, and I would be contacted by e-mail which would contain links for me to create a new password! HOW can someone else be using my e-mail address - I always thought my add was unique to me only......now I'm puzzled! NOW I am awaiting their e-mail to see what they say. HOWEVER the lost cousins link via 1851 census suggests that you will only be able to access 1851 - no other years - am I correct?

Thanks Tinky Winky. When I tried it says I am already subscribed, but it runs out next week! I may ring them & see what they can offer me! :0) Joan

Hi Liz I just looked on Lost Cousins & couldn't find it anywhere! Any ideas where on their site it is? Thanks
