Sorry Liz didnt see your reply..but like I said ..Had enough now and I think its time to put my Mary Ellen away..I will relish in the fact that I have all her details from 1911 which many others find hard to find in their traces of family..It is making me ill looking for her and costing me a fortune in the process..Like the song says Goodnight Mary Ellen..... Hi Maureen have just sent a message to the persons tree and thank you for replying... all I was asking was confirmation about the info and didnt want to look a fool if I asked the question.I thought that with the knowledge given on here regarding everything else that this simple request brought only your reply.Sorry to sound despondent but down in the dumps with this and got to the point where I think its time to call it a day.Im fed up with looking for Mary Ellen and I bet the minute anyone sees it come up they think here we go again...Thanks for your reply and anyone else who has helped..Wanda.

I dunno, some of the matches they come up with are a mystery to me. For one of my Matthews, of which there must be dozens listed (going by my searching) it keeps trying to tell me that they think 'this specific one' is of interest to me... and the person was born & lived in America. *rolls eyes* I think they've gotten better but there are still issues with it. I keep getting messages from people asking about someone in my tree from when I went through correcting mistranscriptions of Alex'r (they'd transcribed them as Ales a bunch of times). For some reason when I'd sent the corrections it had then decided they were in my tree.

Hi Wanda, Do you get showing a Make Connection button if you click on the name of the person who has entered the name you are interested in? If so why not try and make contact. Maureen

Just a quick question.I have put the name of Mary Ellen(here I go again!!!) Quinn into ancestry and then clicked on other people searching this name. The family tree list comes up with public tree, personal tree etc...Not much luck with Mary Ellen but kept on looking..In the middle of searching, the name Sarah Ann Goulding came up in the Quinn list..Can anyone tell me why this is please.. The persons tree is personal so cant click in to have a look...Would it be because a Quinn married a Goulding? Sorry to sound thick but as you know by now my lot are related to the invisible man and am at my wits end... Wanda %0((
