Hi Elaine, Over the last couple of months i have been using Gen Talk.org you need to know the whereabouts your relatives are from.If you know the state google the name this will give you the county name. Then on Gen. site go to the state then onto the County board it is part of ancestry. You can then leave a message, i have found people have been really helpful,I have had people look up census, wwi draft, and even obituary details. good luck |

I have spent many hours on; http://lists.rootsweb.*com It might be owned by Ancestry and in some cases the info may appear on both sites. |

Dear Elaine I've made contact with American family on this site and added some names to my tree via a distant cousin in New Hampshire!! Best of luck with your research. Maria |

I have a full sub to Ancestry and it covers USA and Canada - with all the trees, 'looking fors' etc. I have no idea whether this applies to someone with a just UK subscription. My lot have specialised in (a)changing names and (b) changing countries - without being transported when at least you can track them! Clive |

Hi everyone, hopefully someone can let me know. Is the genesreunited site available and used in the US? If not, is there a similar site, that I can post a trying to find, to research family in the US? Kind regards, Elaine. |
