I've had military searches done for me, the records are in the National Archives. Some of the records of WW1 were destroyed unfortunately. If you can't get to the National Archives then paying a researcher is the way. If you go to the website of the National Archives it will direct you to which batch of papers your ancestor's records might be in and then you would need to search.

Hi, another question... How do I find records of relatives who were in the military, for instance: Alan George Bryson b 1913, served in the Royal Navy WWII Victor Jenkins b 1925, served in the Royal Navy WWII Captain Edward Robert Amor b 1875, Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy WWI & WWII Jared Graham Walton b 1881, served in the British Army? WWI Douglas D Hunter b 1918, served in the Canadian Airforce? WWII I want to know what they did, where they went - surely there must be some good sites? Thanks! x
