i'm on Hugh Wallis site on there is my 4th g/ grand father James Pope on the marriages, 26th oct 1817 also there are 3 other pope ie. Peircy Pope marr/ 10 june 1801 James Pope marr/sept 1779 Martha Pope marr/nov 1789 the number is MO72701. Northaw Hertford. do you think that these 4 people are related . i'm going round in circles and getting quite giddy lol. i would appreciate any feed back thanks Hazel |

Hazel Possibly they are and possibly they aren't! You have just found all the Pope marriages listed in that church register. You will need to go back a generation or maybe more, to prove whether or not they are related. OC |

Hi O.C. yes ive got James Pope 1817 who is my 4th g/ grand father right up to my grand father Hedley Pope 1877 . but i was getting in a muddle with the dates and couldnt work out what was what l my brain is deff going lol. thanks O.C. Hazelx |
