Pure guesswork but my money is on Tinsley as I can find a birth in Sept qtr 1913 for a Joseph Bullock with mother Tinsley. Not found one yet with the mother of Compson. As already said the marriage cert is the only way to prove who was the bride. Maureen

no, Shirley, I was going to trawl the full births and see if I could find any children with MMN but then realised i can't without knowing all the names

Hi linda. Well if your sure its the right groom then its cert buying i,m afraid unless you wait for the next ugrade of freebmd to see if she has been added. do you know its not one of the ladies already listed ? Shirley. Or if they had children after 1911 then you could search on male surname and mums maiden name will be shown . you could then go back on Ancestry full regs and search for that surname in the same marriage qtr and match the refs

It depends on the year but normally there are only four to a page. Maybe one does not belong?

you could check the next census after the marriage and see if you can find each groom and this will show the wifes christian name wont get her surname tho

am guessing you got that from freebmd. Unfortunately unless you know the third brides name so that you can crosscheck her on ancestry ,there's no way of finding out other than buying a cert fro the groom you think it might be,
