ER's will be held at the appropriate main library. Obviously, only people entitled to vote are recorded, and there was a limited franchise in those times. Reg

Anyone know what is the best way to find out who was living in a particular house from about 1915-1920. Put it this way I already know there were 4 people living at a particular address and I suspect there were more of my long lost rellies there as well but which ones!! I can't wait until 2021 or when ever the relevent census will be out!! Are electoral roles that old around if so how does one access them??? Thank you for your help!! Tina

You can check electoral lists at a main library near to the address or a county archive..... Best to check that they have them. The addresses of an electoral area are split into Wards and within the listed Wards the streets are named alphabetically. Only adults able to vote will be listed. Gwyn

I checked actual books for 1939 earlier this week, but the library had other earlier books. I don't think their's had been filmed for fiche....but that might be different in other areas. Gwyn

Unfortunatley it would seem my history lessons did serve me right in thinking that women over 30 were only allowed to vote around the time I am after, so seeing as the womae I am after were in their 20's thats that out!!!!!!! Still might be worth a look, Thank You all for your replies!!

Did the men survive the First World War.? If not, sometimes relatives are listed as the next of kin on the Commonwealth Graves site. Gwyn
