Thanks Jim for looking. The Waters family later migrated from America to South Australia in 1853 on the ship Tarolinta. Does anyone have any details, or pictures of the Tarolinta? |

Samuel and Elizabeth Waters (Watters, Walters) were married in Sithney, Cornwall, September 1845 and went to Illinois, America and a son, Samuel jnr., was born there in June 1847. I have their 1850 Illinois census record. They eventually went to South Australia in 1853. Can anyone please help with what ship, departure port and date they went to America between September 1845 and June 1847? I think they may have landed in New York but could easily be wrong as they may have landed in New Orleans as the place in Illinois was on a tributary of the Mississippi River near Galena. Thanks in anticipation |
